Eternity Bling

What, what, you ask? What even is an eternity ring? These gorgeous little bands are an absolute fav. An endless circle of diamonds symbolizing, you guessed it, eternal love. So cute.

These rights can range in size from a delicate sparkle to a chonky band of gorgeousness like this 4.5ct Round Trellis Eternity, studded with stunning 0.3 carat stones.

Some bands, like this one, feature diamonds going all the way around the shank. However, if you’re not into everything extra, you can always find less. Eternity rings come in 3/4 and 1/2 versions where the diamonds don’t stretch the entirety of the band.

Where oh Wear

Ok, ok, eternity rings are gorge, we get it; we see the 1.5ct Round Shared Prong Eternity, we’re obsessed. But where and how are you supposed to wear this sparkle circle anyway?

So, traditionally the eternity ring is worn in a stack–we love a stack–with your wedding band and engagement ring on your ring finger like this:

1. Wedding band

2. Eternity ring

3. Engagement ring

While this might be the traditional order, it’s also entirely optional. You can wear this sparkle city stack in whatever order feels most comfortable on your finger.

Set It And Forget It

Fun fact, eternity rings cannot be resized. All those diamonds in all those little settings can’t be moved around much without interfering with integrity. And no one likes a loose diamond.

Peep the perfect placement on The 2.5ct Princess Channel Eternity. It’s all the glam, none of the wiggle room. And while nothing’s impossible, resizing something this gorge is not going to be pretty.

When you buy an eternity ring, try to be as sure of the size as possible to avoid resizing. If you absolutely can’t be sure, it's best to go with a 1/2 or 3/4 eternity ring instead, so you have a little play if you need to size.

Eternity FAQ

Are Eternity Bands Uncomfortable?

That depends entirely on your finger, and your eternity ring. Smaller bands with dainty diamonds have little to no finger feel, so if you’ve got extra sensitive fingies, you may want to go small.

Bigger diamonds do have a significant feel between your digits. However, if you love the look, it’s definitely worth the week or two it’ll take you to get used to the feeling. Part of our gorgeoues Eternity rings

Do Diamonds Fall Out Of Eternity Rings?

Not really. With any setting, there is the possibility those little prongs that hold in a diamond can become loose, but taking your ring to the jeweler for a regular cleaning and checkup should prevent any mishaps.

High-key, this is also why we say you should never resize an eternity ring as it will mess with the integrity of those little prongs. But keep in mind, even if you do lose a tiny shiny, popping a new one in its place shouldn’t break the bank.
