So, just how big is a 4ct moissanite? Here’s the deal. A carat is a measure of weight in diamonds. But moissanite weighs about 15% less than diamonds. Because of this you’ll often see moissanite sold by size instead of weight.
Rather than make it super confusing, we sell our moissanite according to approximate size compared to a diamond of the same carat. So a 4ct round brilliant moissanite will be about 10.1mm or around a 1/4inch, same as a diamond.
The other question that pops up a lot when talking about 4ct rocks in general is, “is it too big?” It is a hefty hunk of glitter rock, but it’s modist enough not to overwhelm most hands.
